The Medical Spa at Nova and WD Designs Awareness Jewelry would like to cordially invite you to the second annual breast cancer awareness event at The Medical Spa at Nova on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
This year’s event will benefit Tigerlily Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating, supporting, and empowering young women – ages 15 – 40 – before, during, and after the diagnosis of breast cancer. The foundation provides unique hands-on services and support to these individuals, improving the overall quality of life for young adult breast cancer survivors. All proceeds from our breast cancer awareness event will be donated directly to Tigerlily Foundation to help fund special educational and support programs including:
- Tigerlily’s Peer Education Through Awareness and Leadership (PETALs)© Program
- Chemotherapy Buddy Program
- Funds for Families©
- Meals at Home©
- Buddy Bags
- Tigerlily Foundation’s Stage 4 Program
This event is open to the public. Admission is $20, with all proceeds benefiting Tigerlily Foundation. Breast Cancer Survivors, our special guests of honor, are free of charge.

About A Breast Cancer Awareness Event Benefiting Tigerlily Foundation
Attendees of A Breast Cancer Awareness Event Benefiting Tigerlily Foundation will enjoy exploring The Medical Spa at Nova at this “open spa” event. Throughout the evening, various massages, body wraps, and facials will be demonstrated by Nova’s certified massage therapists and licensed master aestheticians, including some of the spa’s unique services designed particularly to benefit breast cancer survivors. Event attendees will have the opportunity to sample a few complimentary spa treatments and products during the reception, and makeup demonstrations will also be available, courtesy of Makeup Artistry by Tracie. **Please note that the complimentary spa services are limited and will be available on a first come first serve basis.
Nova’s integrative medical team including the naturopathic physician, licensed acupuncturist, certified personal trainers, and registered dietitian will also be in attendance and able to answer questions about treatments and services throughout the evening.
Attendees will also enjoy wine tasting courtesy of Il Pioppo Wines and an assortment of hors d’oeuvres, desserts & refreshments provided by Windows Catering, Chantel’s Bakery, The Chocolate Chick, Kendra’s Cookies, Allergan, and Tea Forte.
For the shopoholics, vendor tables will scattered throughout the reception and selling products ranging from fine jewelry to purses and stationary. A portion of the proceeds sold at each vendor table will be donated to Tigerlily Foundation. Vendors will include WD Designs Awareness Jewelry, The Dandelion Patch, and Beijo Bags.
In addition, a number of companies have come together to support this special event, donating fabulous gifts and services for the event’s silent auction and raffle. From spa treatments and beauty products, to dinner certificates, golf rounds, tailgate parties and more, there’s surely something for everyone to enjoy.
